Our evidence standard
How We Test Creator Software
Every ranking on this site comes from using the software, not from reading the vendor's feature page. Here's what that means in practice.
The fieldwork
Five checks before a tool gets ranked
Run it
We connect the tool to a real creator account and use it the way a creator or agency would: sending messages, scheduling posts, reading the analytics, finding the limits.
Take our own screenshots
The screenshots are ours, taken during testing, with private details blurred. No vendor press kits, no mockups.
Measure instead of quoting
Where a claim can be checked, we check it: prices with the date we checked them, actual message limits, actual response times, real fees on a real payout. A number we didn't observe gets labeled as the vendor's claim, not ours.
Note the ToS risk
Some tools connect through official APIs. Others rely on session sharing or browser extensions that can put an account at risk. We name the method in every review.
Say who shouldn't buy
Every tool is wrong for someone. A solo creator doesn't need agency software, and our reviews say so plainly.
The confidence label
Testing tiers
Tier A
We ran it ourselves on our own account. Full review, full scoring.
Tier B
We drove a live vendor demo or sandbox using our own scenarios. Reviewed, with that limitation stated in the review and extra caution in the scoring.
Tier C
We couldn't test it first-hand. It may get a mention, but it's never scored and never ranked.
Keeping reviews current
Pricing changes fast. Every ranking shows a "last verified" date, and that date only moves when we've actually re-checked the facts behind the page. We re-verify on a quarterly cycle.
Report something staleWhat we never do
- Publish a number we didn’t observe.
- Accept payment for a placement.
- Let a commission decide a verdict.
- Rank a tool we haven’t used.
